Amador Institute, Inc. THPP will challenge, nurture, support, inspire and develop youth into becoming self confident, self-directed, independent young men and women.
The goal is to successfully transition youth out of the foster care system. The primary objective for youth in the THPP is a safe living situation and the ability to be self-supporting. Transitional housing teaches foster youth first-hand what it is like to live independently.
THPP provides youth with the opportunity to try, fail, and learn new methods of behaving and living in the community while at the same time giving them a safe place to practice their new skills.
Realizing Your Dreams
Youth live alone, with roommates in apartments and/or single-family dwellings with regular support provided by Amador Institute, Inc. THPP agency staff, and in partnership with county social workers and ILSP coordinators.
